Commercial Motor New Business Executive // Hybrid – Orpington // £40,000 per annum
An established and reputable insurance broker is seeking an ambitious Commercial Motor Fleet New Business Executive to join a dynamic and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in insurance—or a high-performing sales executive from another sector—looking to elevate their career in commercial insurance.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all aspects of Commercial Motor Fleet new business, from quotation through to binding cover.
  • Convert warm and inbound leads into successful sales, consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
  • Liaise with clients and insurers to negotiate terms and build lasting relationships.
  • Prepare detailed market presentations and ensure all covers, endorsements, and warranties are accurate.
  • Manage mid-term adjustments and cross-sell relevant insurance products.
  • Maintain accurate data input and manage personal workflow effectively.
  • Handle both incoming and outbound calls professionally.

 
Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in insurance (Commercial Motor/Fleet preferred), or a strong sales track record in another industry.
  • Cert CII qualified (or working towards), or willingness to pursue insurance qualifications.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
