Commercial Motor New Business Executive // Hybrid – Orpington // £40,000 per annum
An established and reputable insurance broker is seeking an ambitious Commercial Motor Fleet New Business Executive to join a dynamic and growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in insurance—or a high-performing sales executive from another sector—looking to elevate their career in commercial insurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of Commercial Motor Fleet new business, from quotation through to binding cover.
- Convert warm and inbound leads into successful sales, consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
- Liaise with clients and insurers to negotiate terms and build lasting relationships.
- Prepare detailed market presentations and ensure all covers, endorsements, and warranties are accurate.
- Manage mid-term adjustments and cross-sell relevant insurance products.
- Maintain accurate data input and manage personal workflow effectively.
- Handle both incoming and outbound calls professionally.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in insurance (Commercial Motor/Fleet preferred), or a strong sales track record in another industry.
- Cert CII qualified (or working towards), or willingness to pursue insurance qualifications.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills—both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
